Students at MAS advance according to the belt system laid out below. Students must display certain techniques and quality of execution in order advance from one rank to the next. Our students are held to high levels of performance. Every belt must be earned. But technique alone does not make a MAS black belt. Character and discipline are also taken into consideration. Students 3-6 years of age:

Testing is held quarterly for those students who are ready during the following months:

1. February
2. May
3. August
4. November

Once a date is set for the upcoming testing month, that date and testing times are posted throughout the dojo and online. Students may register online or at the dojo for testing. All students must wear all white to test (white gi top, white gi pant, white class shirt).

The cost for testing is as follows:

$30.00 - Tiny belts (3-6 year olds)

$45.00 - 9th Kyu - 7th Kyu

$65.00 - 6th Kyu - 4th Kyu

$90.00 - 3rd Kyu - 1st Kyu
