The FAME 2K Martial Arts Tournament Series is an exciting opportunity for our youth and adult karate students to broaden their martial arts training experience through organized competitions. The competitions are based on fairness, safety, and fun. Enthusiastic participation assures that every competitor will enjoy an absolutely positive and memorable experience.
Tournaments are held monthly, from January through November. Competitions include forms and point sparring. Competitive “windows” are announced based on belt levels to make the tournament experience convenient, and not require families and friends to spend more time than necessary waiting for their particular event(s) of interest.
The benefit to the competitors is in the advance preparation, the opportunity to demonstrate what has been learned, and learning how to perform under pressure. The tournaments are scheduled one year in advance to allow students to take as much time as they want to prepare. Our experience has shown that by offering competitive opportunities to our students, they become more intrinsically motivated to elevate their level of proficiency because everyone wants to give their best performance. It’s amazing how martial arts students learn to “rise to the occasion!” The FAME 2K Championship Series is yet another strategy that we utilize for the ultimate benefit of each and every one of our students so they can realize the value in achievements that result from good, honest effort. Believe! Achieve! Succeed!
