AFTER SCHOOL KARATE PROGRAM
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What is the After School Karate Program?
A: It is a program which offers many of the conveniences of day care and the benefits of martial arts training.
Q: How does it work?
A: We pick your child after school and transport him/her to our school. They have snack time, followed by homework time, then a martial arts class before being picked up by parents. As an added bonus, on school in service days and some holidays where parents work, our school is open for "Day Camp" from 7:30 AM so that you can have your child be here at the school while you work.
Q: What are the benefits of martial arts training?
A: Self confidence, self control, self respect, respect for others and manners as well as increased ability to concentrate and take responsibility for his or her actions. Parents have found that martial arts training has a direct relationship with improvement of their children's school grades.
Q: How many times a week do they train?
A: Five classes a week.
Q: How late do the children stay at the school?
A: The latest pick up time is 6:00 PM with a grace period of 15 minutes. You may, however, pick your child up before then (beginning at 5:00 PM) if you wish.
Q: What experience do you have with children?
A: I have personally taught a children's program in Brevard County since 19xx and have taught martial arts to students, including children, since 19xx. I have students who began training with me at age 5 who are now Black belts. Every coach in my program is personally trained by me.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: The cost is $xx per week for the first child and 10% off the second child and 20% off for the third.
Q: When can my child start the program?
A: Your child can start right away.
